Crochet
är det franska ordet för en liten krok och ordet banade väg för ordet crochet, som betyder virkning på engelska och franska.
Virkandet är just nu mitt uttrycksmedel och är det av många skäl. Ett av de starkaste skälen är de skulpturala och rumsliga möjligheterna, men främst de olika rytmer som kan skapas med hjälp av virknålen. Jag har under lång tid använt mig av virkandet som en form av repetitiv rörelse som översätter min kropps och min tankevärlds puls. Pulsen, blodets cirkulation och andning är något som är gemensamt för alla oss människor och det finns en oändlig variation i denna puls. Pulsen påverkas av andningen och andningen påverkas av inre och yttre omständigheter.
Crotchet rest
Inom musiktermer betyder crotchet krok och är det brittiska ordet för en fjärdedelsnot. Crotchet rest är en fjärdedelspaus. Inom många av livets olika områden är behovet av paus underskattat och jag undersöker pausens varande i en ständig strid ström av aktivitet och information. Enligt teorier om ett holistiskt perspektiv på tillvaron, så är nutidsmänniskan inte helt i fas med sin egen rytm och detta yttrar sig allt oftare i sjukdomsrelaterade tillstånd.
Tid
Jag försöker förhålla mig till tid som fenomen och den tid jag lever i.
Cirkeln
I det här pågående arbetet arbetar jag med att låta inre stämningar och yttre förutsättningar mötas i virkade maskor som byggs på i cirkulära former. En slags dagbok, skapad av maskor av lintråd. Cirkeln är en av människans äldsta symboler för helhet och förekommer i rituella sammanhang i många delar av världen. Cirkelformen förbinder början med slutet, nutid och dåtid, ingen början inget slut.
Möten
Intresset för möten, rörelse, kropp och ljud finns ständigt i min arbetsprocess.
Processen är öppen och inbjudande och jag hoppas på att rummet kan skapa förutsättningar för möten och samtal. Min process kan följas på hemsidan och har som syfte att kommunicera och fungera som en inbjudan till olika samtal. Samtalen kan vara i dialog, med eller utan ord. Samtalen kan vara inre monologer och olika uttryck i rummet. Jag försöker hitta gemensamma nämnare för oss människor, de behov och känslor som är basala oavsett var vi befinner oss på denna jord. Jag försöker förhålla mig till möjligheten att möten skapar förutsättningar för kommunikation och kommunikation banar vägen för att hitta sätt att leva tillsammans.
Andning
Jag arbetar med en slags långsam aktivism som har att göra med att hitta tillbaka till den egna andningen. Jag försöker lägga märke till de ljud vi är så vana vid så vi inte hör dem. Kroppens egna ljud till exempel. Inandning och utandning. I ett flertal samarbeten de senaste åren med bland annat koreograf Favela Vera Ortiz har jag skapat ljudlandskap som utgår från andetaget.
Materialval Lin
Materialet lin är valt med stor omsorg. Det är en av våra äldsta kulturväxter och har en historia parallell med människans.
Människan som i grunden är samma nu som för flera tusen år sedan; som bär på samma rädslor och behov. Linet ansågs ha helande egenskaper, liksom renande och förekom i ritualer och representerade en viktig kvalitet i olika delar av världen.
Linet talar om en mänsklig gemensamhet över både geografiska och temporala avstånd.

Crochet
Crochet is the French word for a small hook and paved the way for the word crochet, meaning crochet in English and French.
Crocheting is currently my choice of expression, and it is for many reasons. One of the strongest reasons are sculptural and spatial possibilities, but mainly the different rhythms that can be created using the crochet. I have long used crocheting as a form of repetitive movement that translates the pulse in my body and my thoughts . Pulse, blood circulation and breathing is something that is common to all humans, and there is an endless variety of this pulse. The pulse is affected by respiration and breathing are affected by internal and external circumstances.
Crotchet rest
In musical terms mean crotchet hook and is a word for a quarter. Crotchet rest is one quarter break. Within the world of music, the pause and the silence is a necessity to create dynamism and excitement, as well as to give space for thought and reflection. In many different areas of life, the need for pause underestimated and I explore the pause in a constant stream of activity and information. According to theories of a holistic perspective on life, the modern human is not fully in phase with its own rhythm and this manifests itself more often in disease-related conditions.
Time
I try to relate to the time phenomenon and the time I´m in.
The Circle
In this work, I work with inner state of mind and external conditions who meet in crocheted stitches built on in circular shapes. A sort of diary, created by stitches of flax thread. The circle is one of man's oldest symbols of a whole and occurs in ritual contexts in many parts of the world. Circular shapes connects the beginning to the end, past and present, no beginning and no end.
Meetings
Interest in meetings, movement, body and sound are constantly in working process.
The process is open and inviting and I hope that the room can create conditions for meetings and talks. My process can be followed on the website and its purpose is to communicate and work as an invitation to various conversations. Conversations can be in dialogue, with or without words. Conversations can be inner monologues and expressions in the room. I try to find common ground for us humans, needs and feelings that are basic no matter where we live on this earth. I try to relate to the possibility of that meetings creates opportunities for communication and communication paves the way to live together.
Breath
I work with a kind of slow activism that has to do with getting back to my own breathing. I try to notice the sounds we are so used to so we do not hear them. The body's own sounds, for example. Inhaling and exhaling. In several collaborations in recent years with choreographer Favela Vera Ortiz, I have created the soundscapes who start from the breathing.
Material Flax
The material flax is chosen with great care. It is one of the oldest cultivated plants and has a history parallel to that of humans.
The human being, basically the same now as several thousand years ago; who is carrying the same fears and needs. Flax was thought to have healing properties, as well as cleansing properties and was frequently used in rituals and represented an important quality in different parts of the world. Flax talking about a human commonality across both geographical and temporal distance.
